Scouting movement at Via Ferrata of Thuyets
In the past, crossing the Ardèche has required men to be ingenious: they first crossed the ford, then building bridges and finally installing cables and nacelles, thanks to several complex techniques.
Transposition of this old mode of transport on cables naturally led to build this project of via ferrata, which is the first in Ardèche!
We left with a beautiful team of Scouts to meet traditions, a rich heritage and a tumultuous volcanism. The fresh air rising from the river and the view from zip lines at more than 50 m high are incredible!

We leave at 9am with Mathis and Just and start by learning the necessary manipulations to belay on the way to the edge of the Chassezac gorges.

GECCO Aventure presents the canyon Ecouges, located in the Vercors in Isère. A canyon for experienced practitioners in its upper part and more accessible in its lower part. The canyon des Ecouges is one of the most beautiful canyons in France.

Being few for this exit on Via Corda de Casteljau, we took the opportunity with Eva and Mathis to explore every corner of the many caves of this suspended course … and there is plenty to do! Pretty geological and animal surprises 😉
Mathis wants to be a paleontologist and Eva a teacher in sport … no doubt that if they continue to act and reflect as they do, they will broaden the field of knowledge, bravo to them and thank you for this beautiful exploration!
A superb family activity in Ardèche
Between Ardèche and Lozère, the Bas Chassezac aquatic hike is a very fun course, open to all members of the family, from the smallest to the largest. Ideal for discovering canyoning with the family, this course, suitable for children (from 6 years old) and families, is a succession of jumps (from 1 to 5 meters, never mandatory) and beautiful slides.
